CPR Certification and BLS Courses for Dental Assistants

Many states have a requirement for dental assistants to complete a CPR course or BLS course as part of their training.  This certification must remain current, and every 2 years you will need to complete another class to refresh your memory.  If you’ve had a safe and incident free two years and never had to use your skills, it’s easy to forget what to do over time.  However, if the need arises, you must remember what to do!

The American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers Course Completion Card is valid for 2 years, and the CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers is valid for 2 years.

Courses are offered by individual training centers, and schedules vary.

Please visit The American Heart Association or the American Red Cross to find a course in your area.
